Swav Jusis
Fine Art, Documentary & Commercial Photographer

Meet the Icon

Based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, Swav Jusis is a visionary American photographer whose work bridges the gap between fine art, documentary, and commercial media.

He serves as a brilliant visual archivist of the underground, best known for his vivid and intimate documentation of NYC’s most elusive nightlife scenes.

Swav’s lens masterfully captures the pulse of alternative subcultures. He immerses himself in the worlds of vampire, gothic, steampunk, industrial, cyber, and fetish lifestyles, translating their raw, authentic energy into striking imagery.

His artistic signature thrives on breathtaking visual contrasts and deep color manipulations - most notably showcased in his acclaimed 2012 collection, Life Saturated, which powerfully channels heavy emotional states.

Never one to be confined by the traditional frame, his fine art often bleeds into physical reality, incorporating tactile mediums like raw wood and metal.

A celebrated author and commercial artist, Swav published the captivating art book Gothic, Vampire and Alternative Female Beauty, with highly anticipated collaborative projects like Strange Places currently in development.

In the commercial realm, his camera has frozen the kinetic energy of over 300 live bands and iconic music artists, capturing heavy hitters including Nine Inch Nails, Moby, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cypress Hill, and James Brown.
